The first person I asked was going to Erfurt and took me all the way to Bad Hersfeld. It was evening so there wasn't much traffic, maybe that's also why the traffic was more long distance. I think the deserted vibe of the gas station made people take pity on me which greatly helped me haha.―Bigworldsmallsarah

Yeah exactly what the other comment said. I walked 30mins to this spot from the highway and it was worth it. The next gas station was small but it is the last one in a long time so many people going towards Giessen stop there apparently.―Bigworldsmallsarah

Enough traffic so you can talk to people and not just wait around. Most traffic is local though. Best to ask for the next town over and not too far in my experience―NR038

Decent spot if you just want to get on the main road. There's a gas station 10 minutes down the road where local drivers can drop you off. There is enough room to stand, drivers can stop fine but the sidebank isn't thst big.―NR038
