If you get dropped off nearby and don't want to take public transport to a better stop, this feels like a decent one. It's the main route for traffic coming from the south, and they have to stop at the traffic light for a long time to jump into a car. I stood here with a sign that said "Leipzig," and it worked within 20 minutes. I jumped in a truck all the way to Hannover. But maybe I was just lucky.―martih

Allertal West; Extremely well used raststätte on the A7, due to its location on the stretch of autobahn where all the traffic to Hamburg/Bremen and Hannover/Rhein-Ruhr converge. To the north the A27 and A7 merge, to the south the A352/A2 and A7. Probably the best spot north of Hannover, stood here for 90 seconds trying to get out...―Anonymous
