With sign "A3 süd". Only got some offers to Düsseldorf. Moved to the onramp after 69mins, but had the same result there. If you get stuck here your best option is public transport to the next Raststätte.―Anonymous

Hünxe. Sometimes you get a ride to Ohligers Heide in 30 minutes, sometimes you wait 3 hours before accepting a ride into the HH'ers hell that is Ruhrpot. Today was the latter. Don't be like me. It's (at least) Ohligers Heide or nothing.―Anonymous

First time hitchhiking, just said 'Goodmorning' and eventually someone understood the sign to Hamburg-Münster. They actually went to Bielefeld, but argued it would work just as well going to Hamburg.―KRooijackers

Very busy gas station. Asked around and then an Indian family took me straight to the Netherlands. They were driving to Almere, but they dropped me off in Wageningen in front of my dorm.―Anonymous

I was here on a Sunday and had to wait for 2 hours. Probably faster on a weekday. To get there from Wuppertal, take the bus no. 618 or 624 to Lahmburger Str.
Then follow \"Gennebrecker Str.\" to north (5 minutes walking).

Large motorway services. Should be good, although I ended up waiting a few hours early on a Monday morning. If you're travelling south from Düsseldorf, consider starting from here (take a train to Hilden, then take bus 741 or walk through the suburbia). This gasstation is not that large and that busy, but essential if you want to get any further to the Netherlands. There are also rides to the North of Germany―Anonymous
