It seems to be a pretty good place to hitchhiking in the direction of Budapest. There is a gas station, a large parking lot for which trucks and passenger cars stand. The station can be reached directly from the E60 road. We tried to catch transport from there to Budapest (from where we wanted to go further towards Belgrade) we were lucky and we came across a driver from Serbia who easily offered us a ride to Belgrade. In general, the traffic is quite high and a lot of locals and tourists. (There is also a Tesla charging station so maybe you can hitchhiking a Tesla)―Moonhans

We were walking this road because we had previously tried to catch a hitchhiking from the airport (it is very difficult to do it - no one wants to stop) so we wanted to walk to the entrance to the A4 road near the city of Fischamend when suddenly a lady stopped near us and asked if we were going towards Budapest and if we wanted to go with her because she was going to Gyor. He must see the box with the inscription "Budapest" that we had attached to the backpack. In general, it seems to us that when entering the A4 road, catching a hitchhiking should go smoothly - we were just very lucky―Moonhans

Good for getting rides in Vienna/Bratislava direction space to stop and traffic not moving too fast. I stood a little before the bridge to be more visible and so there’s more space to stop. But under would be good for rain.―Xavybaby

Kinda good spot if you want to go to balaton. Got your hike in 5 min or so. But there is not a perfect space for cars to stop, just a small dirt place.―MrErry77

We got robbed here from two junk women and one rumunian guy tried a ring scam on us. Be aware. About the hh: Most of the cars go to Wiena. We wanted to go to hungary so kinda bad for us. Luckily some serbian truck driver saved us.―MrErry77

We got dropped off here at around 10pm and said "fuck it we ball", stood in the middle of the road with thumbs up once every 5mins when a car passed. Somehow we scored a ride to Gyor, which was our direction, but if you're going to Hungary and by some miracle end up here, best of luck. most drivers are either going to Zagreb or alomg the border towards Serbia. the hungarian cars thend to be families of 4. Also, illegal. Have fun ;)―jebemtimamu

There is not a lot of cars willing to take 2 people, usually they had full cars. There is not much cars and the spot is in the sun. We stayed with two signs: Wien and Bratislava, which i recommend. Some trucks were comming to Budapest―Anonymous

at least in the morning (7am) there wasnt much traffic, and what there was was locals or going to Wien, not much for Bratislava. Got a ride to Györ eventually. wildcampers can walk from here into the woods or by the lakes nearby where they could find some chill places to sleep.―Leslie

Great spot but I might have just gotten lucky. Got a ride to Bratislava even though the family was not even going there.―VeikkaK

Not the best spot but not sure where else you should go. It gets the job done eventually. A lot of cars on 3 lanes and they're going very fast. The gas station is very quiet so getting cars from there is of no use. Waited for almost 2 hours as a solo guy, sunday 6pm until a ride to Györ. Tried sign and no sign.―VeikkaK

Spot looked decent at first, but for some reason I got stranded here for 10 hours. Took a ride to gyor in the end and a bus from there.―Anonymous

i was not hitching from here but someone let me out at this place on a vienna - gyoer trip in january 2010. the petrol station seems to be busy and cars that stop (fuel/rest) here definitely travel furtheron to BUDAPEST or in the direction of romania/bulgaria.―Anonymous

a very good spot to stand, we (2) waited for 4 minutes to get a ride to budapest in february 2010. there is a lot of traffic comming from the federal highway 85 from SOPRON that is entering the autobahn here(travelling in eastward direction). on my personal rating from "1" to "10" (1 = poor, 10 = excellent) i give a "9 to 10" to this place.―Anonymous
