One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Budapest to Arad in Romania (successful).A very good spot. I was waiting only 5 minuys and I got a lift to the last petrol station before Seged from two women and a young girl.
I was waiting at the exit of the petrol station hitchhiking with a right hand cars leaving the station and with a left one those driving along the ramp joining highway. So sometimes I looked like Jesus 😁
There is no shade. The toilet and internet are free at the station.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Budapest to Arad in Romania (successful).A very good spot. At the very end of the petrol station there is little space, so I was waiting a bit closer, at the end of the last grass island, hitchhiking once with a right another time with a left hand. And sometimes with both, and then I looked like Jesus 😁
No shade, quite busy traffic, both cars and lorries. There is free internet, but the toilets are paid.
After 15 minutes a lorry took me to another petrol station 55 kms along the highway. There were some road works so it took as nearly 1,5 hours 🙄

I was semi-asleep while switching cars here, because it was the middle of the night, and I was sleeping in the truck that got me here, so take this message with a grain of salt. This was a good spot, a lot of trucks, and I found a car with a Czech licence plate willing to take me all the way to Prague.―martih

This is either a really good spot or a terrible one, depending on your luck. A truck dropped me here, and I found a Turkish truck, which got me further almost immediately, but if I went around all the trucks and nobody would take me, I would have been screwed.―martih

Good spot if you're going to Kecskemet. There is a room for stopping and cars are going slower there because of the roundabout. You have Aldi and Tesco nearby and a huge statue of Jesus or whoever, so if you're relligous you have a higher chance people will stop you.―Agamaj

I thought it's a great place, but not...we have been waited here half on hour, beautiful sunny weather, good traffic, but no lift.―Putti

We (couple) were trying to get past Budapest, hence the long waiting time, but very few cars were stopping here and of the few that weren't full most were local or unwilling to give lifts.―Nathholf

Perfect place to hitch, although it was hard to get a direct ride to Serbia. To Szeged should be easy from here.―Mrw.witteveen

Try the gas station just next to this spot! We got a lift to Budapest in 20 mins there, by a truck driver. I think the station is a good spot to North direction. 2 persons (me and my girlfriend), 20 mins―Anonymous
