Very good spot !We was 2, with a big sign to give our destination. There is many cars passing and a good space for them to stop.
The only bad things is that there is a lot of pollution because of the highway. And the cars goes fast.

Waited for almost 3 hours, the traffic was heavy but no one stopped. It's a great place for the drivers to stop, but those are mostly Hungarians getting back home to nearby villages and it's very difficult to move somewhere further like Szeged. You may consider taking a bus to the next OMV station.―JuanPabloSegundo

All along Nagykorosi, there are bus stops where drivers headed onto the highway towards Serbia can pull over to give you a ride. It seems like a good place to hitch, but I spent an entire afternoon here going nowhere, and ended up on the night train.―Anonymous

I used this spot many times to hitch a ride to my hometown (Kecskemét), about 90 kilometers to the South of Budapest. I never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Once I got a lift from the very first car that came. I think it all depends on the sign you use. Beware that when the bus comes, the drivers won't (can't) stop!―Besnik19

Easy to access, safe place and lots of cars, which are going long distance. Take a train ticket from Nyugati to Vecses (15 min walk from tranin station) there is a bus stop and just a cardboard is enough with Szolnok on it. I was alone and two soldier picked me up.―Astala27
