A lot of locals. We had a luck that one kind guy took us on the highway to the petrol station. The place is good, the cars are going 50 and there is a bus station with a place to stop.―prominkuba

We tried to hitch a ride at the end of the of the parking lot, but for 3,5 hours nothing. Then we went to the pump and asked around and after 10 minutes we got a ride all the way to Szeged.―prominkuba

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Budapest to Arad in Romania (successful). It looks like a very good spot. I was waiting at the end of the last grass island (by the very exit there wasn't enough space to stop) hitchhiking sometimes with a right hand and sometitimes with a left one. Occasionally with both so I looked like Jesus 😁
There is no shade. The toilets are free.
After 25 minutes Romanian lorry drivers picked me up and took to Arad.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Budapest to Arad in Romania (successful).A very good spot. I was waiting only 5 minuys and I got a lift to the last petrol station before Seged from two women and a young girl.
I was waiting at the exit of the petrol station hitchhiking with a right hand cars leaving the station and with a left one those driving along the ramp joining highway. So sometimes I looked like Jesus 😁
There is no shade. The toilet and internet are free at the station.

I echo the warnings of other hitchers: low traffic and, it seems, frequent police interference. I was dropped here with high hopes, the spot would be great, but there were police doing a traffic check and they shortly told me I had to leave or when their boss came they would have to ticket me (and that being a foreigner they would have to take me directly to court to pay). The cop rather comically suggested that I jump the fence to walk through the field to the ramp (lmao), but did nothing when I walked down the highway with my thumb out.The next ramp is absolutely useless, 17 vehicles in an hour, the cars with Serbian plates, the trucks going too fast to stop with very little space there. The traffic on the highway by there is going so fast you’ll be lucky to get a ride, which thankfully I was (all hitcher blessings to Edina who pulled over and took me across the border 🙏🏽), though not without a wait and much stress as the sun dipped to kiss the horizon.

Got droped at this border control because local lady said that i only can cross this one on foot? Was crossing the border and asked a car ahead with slovakian plates if they can pick me up and he agreed do got taken straight to Bratislava and even he invited to stay at his apartment for the night and drove me to gas station in the morning. Very nice guy who also hitchhiked in his youth.―kiausiniuvagis

First person I approved took my all the way to Bukarest. I had to pay 25€ at the end (my fault for not asking) but yk I still got super far. Station was busy.―GermanyToIndia

Cars pass slowly and there is some grass to sit. No shade. After 30min I got picked up (after changing my sign to ‚25km M5‘ instead of Serbia). Still got 200km. I‘d recommend this spot over the one below.―GermanyToIndia
