Not many cars when we were there, but plenty of space to pull over.

traffic was diverted through here because of a crash on the m4 so there was loads of cars going by, probably less busy on other days. small amount of space to pull over after the roundabout and youre fairly visible to drivers.

good for getting out of enfield, stand far enough behind the roundabout exit that they have enough time to see you as they drive by

You can get to Maynooth by train. From there you have to walk around 2 km (? as far as I can remember) to get to the motorway. Took us about 45 minutes to get a lift.

Towards Galway/Sligo/Mayo. Stood by sliplane. Took a while, but might have been bad luck. Maybe better to walk up R407 a little...

Just walk past roundabout at university entrance... plenty of space for cars to pull over. Probably more local traffic than if you hitch from motorway junction, but you should get a ride quicker.

The motorway junction was super busy one afternoon so I decided to walk up to here. Got a lift all the way to Galway pretty quickly!
No hard shoulder, but I stood in front of a wide entrance...

Wide new road with plenty of space to pull over. Hitched to Maynooth from here.
