Right beside Taormina train station. Quite comfortable spot for both driver and hitchhiker. Many locals pass this spot quite slowly to stop. Excellent for Catania direction.

This spot is good for hitchhiking but dont choose this road to hitchhike far to the North. I hitchhiked to Taormina but was very hard on this road. Probably better on the highway.

Good place to hitchhike towards the north(west). Even before the driver who picked us up, multiple others also stopped but went in other directions. It's not on the actual highway so it's not a dangerous place nor (I think) likely to cause problems with police.

Within 15min we got taken in one drive straight to the center of Catánia. Better here than in the village center of Trecastagni where there's more local traffic.
