Right beside Taormina train station. Quite comfortable spot for both driver and hitchhiker. Many locals pass this spot quite slowly to stop. Excellent for Catania direction.―Anonymous

Good place to hitchhike towards the north(west). Even before the driver who picked us up, multiple others also stopped but went in other directions. It's not on the actual highway so it's not a dangerous place nor (I think) likely to cause problems with police.―csillagkohó
