Not easy to go to this place, but when you go through the field it is a quite fine spot to go to Milan from nearby villages. We had a sign Milano. A guy took us to a metro station, by metro we went to the southern part of Milano to Romolo station and continued to Genova from there.

Good spot to go to Milan, because there are two direct ways. And it is just one way from the gas station for all the traffic. We (couple) had a sign Milan.

Artista paro veturigis min.

Amazing spot. People were asking us where we want to go while we were writing signs. Waited with the signs „Luzern“, „Gotthard“ and „Italy“ for around 40min and got a lift all the way to Como, Italy.

This is a good gas station to get a ride into Switzerland. People here go all the way to Basel and at least through the Gotthard tunnel.

Direction Venezia - Brescia
Don't loose your time to go there from the center of Milano. It's dangerous, drivers go fast, and you will wait hours.

an ESSO petrol station right on autobahn (autostrada, motorway) A4 BRESCIA-MILANO- TORINO. you can reach the station through the commercial area (north of the station) in walking a circle (westward) around some of the manufacturing halls, there is a swing door that connects the station's platform with the surrounding roads (street: "via aquileia") of the quarter. ATM-tram number 31 takes you from the city center to the corner "via monfalcone/via massimo gorki" from where you can walk to the station in 5 to 7 minutes. i have not hitchhiked from there but will do so next week (on a MILANO-TORINO trip), the spot seems to be excellent because of its safe surrounding, many cars passing by also easy accesibility. there is also a restaurant and a snack shop.

Got a ride to Milano in 5 minutes and a ride to Bellinzona in about an hour. Good place for both directions. Give a smile to the station attendants so they wont bother you.

Station is in course of a renovation, but is open. Not very popular, many drivers are going to Milano.
Went out in a direction of Venice within an hour

We waited there for 3h and no one took us with a sign to Torino. Really bad spot in my opinion

Many cars passing on the road but not many stop at the gas station. We were lucky that we encountered a young local who took us further up and closer to the border....

Direction Milano.

Quite easy to find a lift, just smile and ask the drivers.

Originally I tried to hitch from the petrol station just down the road from this bus stop. However, early hours in the morning, it was absolutely empty (although the first guy offered to give me a ride, but going down the wrong direction). Tried to take the bus to the on-ramp of the autobahn, but while waiting for the bus I managed to hitch a ride. Got incredibly lucky, went all the way down to near Milan!

After about 5-10 minutes, I noticed a sign behind me. I can't read Italian, but I assumed it said somehting about being fined for parking in the bus lane. So I left, deciding to try the parking lot of the grocery store.

When walking to the parking lot, this gentleman and his girlfriend offered me a ride to the train station to get into Milan (my final destination). I found it difficult to refuse Italians, so I condede! They bought me some snacks in the store, which was incredibly generous! Additionally, another gentlemen who I had jokingly hailed on a bicycle told me he was heading to Milan in a few hours and that I would be welcome to hitch with him then. So two offers in 10 minutes!
