climbed up from the bus stop directly north of the service station, very thick with foliage, i recommend try the path to the east. lots of people on the sunday i tried it. non italians were far more receptive to me asking for a ride. got a ride from a lovely french couple to another service station near la spezia to try and get a ride to nice.

Not sure what was wrong with this place, probably bad luck. Station is well placed people stops there but most of them do not want to give us a ride. Some folks was going to Florence. We ware trying to get a hike in Rome direction it was very problematic We catch it after 7h of waiting

This spot is good for every direction: most of the cars go to highway and THEN there's the division of the directions. When you stay here if police says something walk 20m in north direction. There's a board "consorzio agricolo" and enough space for the cars to stop.

There is enough space to stop car but the traffic is so crowded in daytime. We got a ride just for 6 km outside the city. Nobody! Nobody even make an impression, or gesture, just horns

We stayed in the Agip gas station close by. We waited abot 2 hours, it was very little traffic stopping, maybe 1 car every 10 minutes. There is another gas station a little bit further, but it's even worse
