At the parking place in front of supermarket in the direction south-west. People can see you clearly when they stop at the lights. They are local but that is what you want.―Anonymous

Lot of locals going on the highway. Sign Venezia. Two guys. Hitching before the pay toll directly in front of the sing “no autostop”. Kinda hard for some poeple to even spot you so wear something bright or use a bigger sign. After 30 minutes local lady with a dog took us to Latisana.―matapok915

Not to much traffic leaving, lots of people not going to Trieste even though that is what was written on the sign. A police man stopped to talk to me but said it was ok to stay if I stayed at the rest stop and did not walk onto the highway.―MrZachyPants
