Would not recommend for going to the east/Milano. Two cars stopped when I did not use my sign, but they went to totally different destinations, rather west and south of Torino. apart from that the spot is quite okay with a big grassy area.―Johj

Going east/Torino. Dont go to Torino if you want to get past it, that was the biggest mistake I did. For Torino this is probably a good spot, many big roads converge and lead to the highway. There is a full lane for cars to stop safely.I would have prefered the roundabout north from here, because there might be someone going far and avoiding the highway going on the road north of the highway. Dont know if there is space though...

I waited right after the roundabout. Seemed like a nice spot towards Milano, although you have to make a choice between the two routes people come from (Torino or Settimo). I chose Torino and got picked up almost to Milano with the hope of reaching Verona.I had a sing with Milano as this section serves many routes.

I waited on a sunny Thursday morning (July) right after the roundabout, aiming for Torino. The spot is just fine, although I believe I got lucky to be on board after only 10 minutes.
The driver took me all the way to Torino.
PS : I tried talking to people at the parking lot right before the roundabout but all vehicles seemed uninhabited.

On theory the spot seems to be good: most of the cars are moving to south/east and few of them to the city. However, I waited so a long time with little success. I had a "Genova" sign with me and after more than two hours (Saturday, morning) I got a short 60km ride.―BDalas

I was trying to get to Milan but I couldn't find anyone, it was all locals. Eventually I got a ride to Torino porta Susa and took the train. Getting to Turin is very easy and sometimes more south but not north―Peddy42

two details about how to reach the petrol station: exact name of bus stop is "Torino 315" (or few no. up or down) --- I stopped at "Torino" AND had to walk for 3 km to reach via Vermea :-than, correct direction: get via Vermea, 100m on the left of the bus stop, go thru for 1 km approx, check on the left for Via Napoli, do not take the overpass but the small country road on the left --- you already see the petrol station from the beginning of via Napoli :-)
DO NOT TAKE VIA GOZZANO!!! they must have changed the street name disposition recently, it would take you on the wrong path --- from the beginning of via Gozzano I could see the petrol station on the opposite direction :-
