Best spot to get north from LPBCars need to slow down because of the roundabout and bad road conditions. Many trucks would go all the way to China

there weren't many cars during the weekday but it is a nice spot on the main road more outside of the city where you can still walk to from the centre―sarah

You can catch a truck to Vang Vieng but don't do it in rainy season. The roads are often blocked by landslides. It took us 2 days instead if 4 hours. Try to catch on the other road to Kasi, cars choose this road as there are no trucks.―Anonymous

Perfect spot, due to road conditions every car has to slow down. It’s a bit out of Luang Prabang so if you’re going north almost everybody will be going in your direction―Santiago

Amazing spot, all cars need to completely slow down due to a piece of dirt road and they have space to pull over. Also you have good shade until the afternoon―Santiago

Punto perfetto per andare verso il nord/confine Cinese. I camionisti cinesi sono degli ottimi compagni di viaggio: ho fatto autostop 10 minuti e per due giorni ho viaggiato su tre diversi camion.―Azeta

All of this main road is a good spot, plenty of cars and space to stop. Only issue is that people is going in many different directions, they will just take you out of town, you must be lucky to find somebody that takes you to your destination―Santiago
