I guess making a sign to a town close to the border would work better but I got a ride decently fast with my Sejny sign. Also the bus stop has space to pull over, works better than the gas station unless you’re asking people directly―Arphile

It's good place if you're heading direction of Daugai, Vilnius, ect. . Couse most of the cars are going there. To get to Druskininkai you need hh from the cross road ahead.―Anonymous

This cross road is very good if you want to go to Poland or further via Poland. There are two ways:TIP: Route 131 is better, than 132, because is prohibited for big trucks to use route 132.
Way nr. 1 (it splits later into few options)
1. All big trucks is going via route 131, later joining A5 after Kalvarija, crossing the boarder Lithuania-Poland, at Budzisko, near Suwalki. At this place there is route nr. 8, which goes to Piotrkow Trybunalski via Augustow, Bialystok, Zambrow, Warszawa. From Piotrkow Trybunalski, there is two choices again -
Choice nr. 1 Take A2 from Lodz which is near Piotrkow Trybunalski, to go direction of Berlin via Poznan (cross the border at Frankfurt [Oder]).
Choice nr. 2 Carry on going on route 8 from Piotrkow Trybunalski to Wroclaw, there you can take A4, which later at Krzyzowa splits, again into two directions -
Direction 1 - cross the boarder at Gorlitz and go to Dresden
Direction 2 - cross the boarder Olszyna and go to Berlin
Either way you want to go Dresden or Berlin, from there is easy to reach countries like Belgium, Italy, Spain, France and others.
Nr. 2 way from the cross near Alytus: (This road is used by small trucks and small cars, usually they go only to next village/town)
Go to route 132 via Seirijai, Lazdijai. (After Lazdijai route 132 becomes route 135). Cross the border, near Ogrodniki and carry on going direction to Augustow via small village Macharce - route 16.
This route 16 will take you to Augustow, where you can join the route 8. So, from this point you can catch the big trucks, which was going via Santaika, Simnas, Krosna, Kalvarija and crossed the boarder Lithuania-Poland at Budzisko, near Suwalki.

Good to go to Vilnius. There is a bus stop, so you can be easily spotted by drivers. Don't know why, but it took me half an hour to be picked up, maybe because we were two guys.―Anonymous
