Drivers see you from far away, even though the speed of cars is high. You need a sign and reflectors, to be able to hitchhike a car fast. I got a lift to Kaunas in less than 15 min.―estasbien

we waited for fifteen minutes and got a ride directly to Kaunas, our first ride. Many cars on the road have Lithuania and Latvia plates, so definitely a good spot to get to the Baltics―Anonymous

Found a small truck going to Katowice within 15min. Lots of local traffic as well so just need to be a bit patient. Around 9:30am on a Saturday morning, couple with sign and thumb.Walked here from bus stop before the junction, easy and safe 15min walk not on the highway.

Was standing on the grass where people turn to their houses, because the street was blocked by some construction as of 7th of june 2026. Tried to go to Suwałki/Poland, but changed sign to Marijampolė to get out of here. Not the best spot but definetly not bad and it's very doable. Might be better spot if you are here bit earlier than I was but the spots further down the road towards Poland are probably better.―Jarnohitchikes

very tricky spot. cars go fast, there's no obvious place to stand and for cars to stop. asking truck drivers might be more efficient if you're alone. it's still probably the best place around kaunas if you want to go to poland.―Orzechbrazylijski
