Asking everyone around if they are going to Lithuania. But half of it was staying in Suwalki. Lithuanian cars were usually full of things. But eventually a estonian camper took us to Kaunas. But still probably its the best gas station to get to Lithuania―kiausiniuvagis

lots and lots of cars, which is a bit bad, because they can't change lanes, and when coming out of a dark tunnel they barely see you and struggle to make a decision.
still got a ride and it's worth it because it's a city centre.

With a sign saying LT, got a ride to Kaunas within an hour. Definitely stand at the bus stop at the exit instead of the gas station parking, that way you’ll catch all the traffic.―Arphile

Good spot to get a lift by lithuanian drivers - there is a roundabout before the spot so traffic is a bit slower. I stayed with sign Kaunas before "Taxi" road sign, as there is enough space to stop for drivers. Got direct ride to Kaunas within 10 minutes (but maybe I was a bit lucky).You can also try your luck by asking around at the gas station across the street.

This is obviously very bad spot - cars are "flying" on a highway, and those ones which are getting out of petrol station, just focusing on speeding up and join the traffic. However, even here is possible to hitchhike. Draw a big sign and be very patient and eventually you can get a ride very far. After two hours of waiting I got a direct ride to Katowice (~670km)―estasbien

Disagree with other review. Quite a lot of traffic in the gas station, people stopping to eat, and also going out from the stores behind. Possible to ask around and also just stand at the exit with a sign. Had sign PL, got a ride to my destination Suwałki.―friki
