Get here on foot from precious spot at Cirkle K gas station ~5km away.Way much luckier here, here is bus stop, plenty place for cars to stop, and 50m further is small truck stop. It was end of September around 8pm so getting dark outside but basically almost immediately van stopped and took me inside Poland, past Warsaw and all the bad spots along the way. Best spot to HH to Kaunas or even further west.

Super busy gas station when I was there. Ask couple people and instantly got a ride to Vilnius. Or you can just stand at the exit if you want there enough traffic for it. Idk how much cars go to Kaunas but I can imagine you find some for sure―kiausiniuvagis

I think it might be the best place of you want to skip Riga. Just ask drivers if they are going to Bauska or firther. As I am lithuanian I could just ask lithuanian drivers and I instantly got a ride to Panevezys.―kiausiniuvagis

If you are trying to get to Riga dont get off here. People who go to riga stop at Circle K gas station after Panevezys. Your best bet is to try to find someone going to Pasvalys and get of there and get to Riga. If you are going to Siauliai its alright. But the gas station has low traffic. And most of the traffic are locals―kiausiniuvagis

I would say the best spot into riga direction but i would recommend first trying to get to panevezys and then to riga because i dont think there is a lot of cars going straight to riga. But try to get to circle k after panevezys because its the most popular gas station. And getting off earlier will mean you will likely get a bit stuck―kiausiniuvagis
