I first went down the turn so cars have space to stop, but the police told me to get closer to the roundabout because I was « on the highway » (cars were really slow and I was easily visible). So I stood right before the highway blue sign, in a really less good spot (almost no space for cars to leave, less visible and mor difficult for the cars coming from south to stop since they need to change lane quicly). Anyway a guy took me to Cannes after 15 min (I had a sign saying this city name)―JorysJr

first people i asked were a lovely couple from london with an open top car that took me to near nice. not the busiest service station, but it seemed to have a decent flow of cars on the sunday i was hitching.―Anonymous

Got dropped off here after leaving Nice, en route to Italy. Quite a small services but beautiful views and we found it promising as we saw lots if places to sleep if we weren't lucky enough to get a lift. We got a few sympsthetic refusal nods from drivers and then two lovely Germans in their way hone offered to take us to Italy.―Anonymous

Wouldn’t really recommend to get there it’s a bit hard and the location is near a 5 star hotel, there is a bit of space to stop but it isn’t ideal and cop were up further ahead but didn’t bother us. Eventually got picked up by an italien going to Genoa our destination. 2males 2 big bags―DuketheNuke

Many many many cars towards Cannes and Marseille. But very tricky to get there DO NOT CLIMB FROM THE EASTERN SIDE.
There is an open gate for service vehicles on the western side. Got there from Allianz Riviera by going to the gas station north of there, crossed the roundabout towards the river and walked until the toll booth.

A lot of cars are heading towards Nice with slow enough speed. Enough space to stop a car or small vans.―Prdelozrout

Good place to go to Nice. A lot of people are putting gas here. I don't know for further, probably during the day. At 5 there was only people going out of work.―Kweps

Biggest parking for trucks I've ever seen, maybe 200-300 of them. Every single one was going to France or Spain so it was s perfect spot to catch someone that direction. But we were going further into ItalyThere was mostly traffic from trucks but also a few cars going through. We've been waiting there for 2 hours asking around and caught a 300km ride somewhere around 23:00 by a guy that drove a Porsche there for some rich kids from Monaco
For me the best spot in that neighborhood to go hop on the highway

Not so busy, we tried to ask people for Nice / Marseille direction. A Swiss older couple on Tesla took us before Nice, above Monaco. From there it was easier because we were finally in France. Good luck.―TwoThumbsTravel

I got incredibly lucky as a Romanian truck driver picked me up (the BEST people) and I had a sign to Genova, but ended up going further as I wanna get to San Marino. Hard to get into this spot as i walked on the road, and police came and waved a finger no, but i ignored them and thankfully got a lift quickly after―SunnySupertramp

I didn't think this was that good a spot, because there was barely any traffic and nowhere that good to stop. But, then I got picked up in 8 minutes... In the evening when it was dark―adamrenak
