Took us a long time. A lot of traffic but most had their car full of stuff or people so they couldn't take us to the border or beyond. We were very lucky that a couple could take us all the way to Frankfurt, there we needed to go south and they were going east

Generally a good spot, however I had to wait for some time because it was a Sunday morning and there was not many cars passing by. Eventually got dropped of at a highway entrance near Arnhem.―Anonymous

Excellent spot! 4 cars stopped in 17 minutes but sadly didn't go to where I wanted to go (Amsterdam). Eventually accepted the 4th and drove all the way to Leiden.―Anonymous

It's a liftershalte (basically an official hitchhiking spot, signaled with a sign pole and all, check the pictures on google maps)Had a sign with "Arnhem" written on it and I put some music to kill time while waiting. The first song didn't even finish that a dude stopped by and I got my ride to Arnhem. Honestly quite an incredible experience and the fastest lift I'll probably ever got. I don't know if it helped the fact that it was a Sunday morning

Lots of folks. Got offered a ride pretty quickly to Hasselt, which was halfway to the French Ardennes we were heading to. Still rejected it, gotta stay on that main highway. As always when here, we considered accepting a ride to Eindhoven Airport to luck into a ride to Belgium there. One day we’ll try it!―Bob

Weird start of the day, we were offered tons of rides but no one was going straight ahead to Brabant. Roermond, Utrecht, Rijkevoort, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and more. When we got another offer for Holland, I checked if A50 into A2 would make sense for our driver. Turns out, Brabant is only a 4 minute detour from this gas station to Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, etc.―Bob

Tough place, cars drive too fast and it is not pleasant to stay here. Since there are traffic lights, this is no highway and you are allowed to hitch hike here, but police doesnt like it and you dont want the discussion. At the end it always works to go from here to Nijmegen.
If you walk 500 meters direction Nijmegen (direction Arnhem soccer stadium) you do something that is not dangerous but illegale. Here you may find a place to repair your car or whatever, Some kind of refuge, easier to stop and safe to stop. I do prefer this over the roundabout…. On the other hand, the bridge on the roundabout is great for hitch hiking in the train
