It's a liftershalte (basically an official hitchhiking spot, signaled with a sign pole and all, check the pictures on google maps)

Had a sign with "Arnhem" written on it and I put some music to kill time while waiting. The first song didn't even finish that a dude stopped by and I got my ride to Arnhem. Honestly quite an incredible experience and the fastest lift I'll probably ever got. I don't know if it helped the fact that it was a Sunday morning

Weird start of the day, we were offered tons of rides but no one was going straight ahead to Brabant. Roermond, Utrecht, Rijkevoort, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, and more. When we got another offer for Holland, I checked if A50 into A2 would make sense for our driver. Turns out, Brabant is only a 4 minute detour from this gas station to Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, etc.

Not very pedestrian-friendly. Got a ride in 1 minute.

Waited an hour for a ride direction Den Bosch/Eindhoven. Eventually walked to the onramp and got a ride right away.

Drove the car of a German couple that had just been checked by police and had an expired license.

Tough place, cars drive too fast and it is not pleasant to stay here. Since there are traffic lights, this is no highway and you are allowed to hitch hike here, but police doesnt like it and you dont want the discussion.
At the end it always works to go from here to Nijmegen.
If you walk 500 meters direction Nijmegen (direction Arnhem soccer stadium) you do something that is not dangerous but illegale. Here you may find a place to repair your car or whatever, Some kind of refuge, easier to stop and safe to stop. I do prefer this over the roundabout…. On the other hand, the bridge on the roundabout is great for hitch hiking in the train

Medium spot. On daytime quite some traffic. Cars from the right side passing by quite quickly. Took about 20 min for someone (going another direction) to stop to tell me that its not the perfect spot to get people going to Amsterdam. But after 30 min a former hitchhiker picked me up. He went an extra detour for me to drop me at the gas station "The Schaars" on A12 which he knew was a good spot. From there just one car to Amsterdam.

There's a bus stop on the onramp. I being a sunday meant not to much traffic so my driver could make a late decision and reverse back onto the bus lane. On week days this place might be a bit harder to get out of. I would still try though.

Good spot, there is a liftershalte 100 meters after the traffic lights, but this makes no sense. Sometimes I wait here too long like 45 minutes, but that is not a problem. To Arnhem Max 15 minutes wait.

Very quickly made my way from Wageningen to Leuven. I got a straight ride with a Belgian couple to Leuven as they were heading to Charleroi.

Haven’t had to wait very long here. Have two times hitched a ride to the next gas station on the highway near Nijmegen.

Badddd spot not very loads of local traffic. Got told it was half German cars but not really. Got a lift from a trade van not far down the road to a better spot

Asked a lot of people at the gas station. Everyone went to Arnhem, up north the A12. We needed to go to Köln. I asked someone before at the gas station, we were walking towards the A12, when the person i spoke to earlier honked and said she could take us to Elten, Germany, we settled for the Shell just before the border to have the most options (7 minute ride), but anything helps.
