Getting a lift from the point took us 3 min. Perfect place wit a bus line allowing driver to stop. 100 m further there are trafic lights for those who don't feel like standing and hitching.There is little tankstation right after the roundabout which can be a shelter when it rains.

Not a good spot for going directly to Groningen. The N355 is a local road that soon after Leeuwarden becomes a rather small provincial road. Better take the spot in the south towards the A7, the bigger highway to Groningen.―Anonymous

Very good spot to hitch from, cars start from the traffic light from two directions and can see you easily because they don't drive too fast yet. Former official hitchhikers spot. Better than the petrol station down the road, because they usually don't like hitchhikers "bothering" the drivers.―Anonymous

Got a ride to Zwolle within 5 mins. Brilliant spot just behind traffic lights, drivers spot you quickly while they're still getting back to full speed. They can easily reach you at the bus stop.―Lenaloos

Might be because of sheer coincidence, but after switching from Overijsselseweg we had a car within 5 minutes straight to Groningen, after 30-35min wait at Overijsselseweg.―Riddergraniet
