We came from Leeuwrden and got off at the exit. there is a bus bay and line. in case U have a badluck tthere is a bus station ribgt behind :) getting a lift to Den Helder on saturdays afternoonn took us 7 min.while hitching I observed that there was quite a lot traffic from the oposite direction (N99 entering the A7 motorway direction Amsterdam and the entrance way looked decent for hitchers

I waited like 20mins for a ride, this is a nice place.the bus stop is nearby too so if you ask the bus driver nicely its free. but this is a kiss and ride stop. with the directions too Heerhugowaard/Alkmaar or Middenmeer/Afsluitdijk (going to Friesland)―HikerDave
