Excellent spot to hitch to Treble Cone in the winter and Mt Aspiring. Showed up here on a powder day once and there were already 10+ people waiting. But we were all in cars on the way to the mountain within 15 mins!―Anonymous

Got a lift super quick in the direction of Cromwell, but only as far as Luggate. Driver explained that maybe 30% of traffic from here was going to Cromwell/Alexandra, but from Luggate about 90% of traffic is going that way. The spot itself is ok with a little road entrance for drivers to pull over. We walked to this spot as there was roadworks at the 84/6 junction.―luckyluke
