Solo females. Finished the Golemo Ezero hike and walked towards Nižepole while listening for cars. Thumbed and the first car stopped for me. They were going to Bitola so they took me right to my hotel. The guy grew up here but has lived in Australia for many years, building his retirement home here lol. Cool background!Seems that cars are way more likely to stop in a village with minimal traffic

This spot at the entrance to Lakeview Hotel is better than from the abandoned Hotel Euvopa, the autocamp, or the wildcamp spot before that, because it is not after a turn like the others, and cars are not fast for some reason (they can also see you from afar). There's a huge pullout for cars to stopSigned for Resen and Bitola (ultimate destination). A local grandpa was going to Resen but drove an extra 30km to Bitola for me🥹🥹

I was dropped here by a local who said this was a good route to macedonia. i seriously doubted hs judgement and was planning to bail, when a car going to macedonia stopeed!
