There's a lot of traffic and space to pull over (small, private gravel road) but maybe the drivers couldn't see it. Anyway, as I was only going to Horten, I found out that there is a local bus going straight there, so I gave up trying to hitchhike after ~90 minutes.―klawik

We were asking the people at the gas station and got the 6 hour ride strait to Helsingborg―lepavidra

A guy and a girl with a small sign on a Sunday at noon. This spot is quite good. Two people stopped in 20min, and the third one took us South of Oslo and offered us lunch !―JumpingRabbit

A guy and a girl on a Sunday morning. This spot is bad, very few people pass through here. Yet it was better than the previous gas station for us... We gave up after a few minutes and a nice lady stopped as we were hitchhiking while walking back to Dingle. She took us to Moss.―JumpingRabbit

Once again, pretty good spot to go to Oslo, not much wait. Got a ride not all the way, but easy to get rides at least to a gas station on the highway.―friki

Trying to get to Horten ferry, sign saying "Ferry". I think the other exit (34) is better if you're coming from the highway to the ferry, as most of the cars will take it, but got a ride easily with a Swiss couple in their 40 y.o. caravan.―friki

Gas station and restaurants, lots of people, easy to get rides anywhere South. Mosser and his three children Jacob, Maria and David, picked me up on a ride to Horten, and conversed about Norwegian social structures.―friki

Rather small space only to stop as there is no shoulder at the onramp but cars can stop at the roundabout. Got a lift from there twice in a decent time. There are better spots down the road so having a 10/20km sign might be a good idea.―roadlifehacks

Good spot, space to stop on the side of the road, they still go slow. Had to wait three rounds of ferry to get a car, so not the best in that regard. Tried with and without sign, should be easier to go south in the highway.―friki

Again, there's no good spot in this way out. Here they can stop on an exiting street, but cars go fast and close to each other, dangerous situation. We did end up getting two rides for 2+1 people one after the other. Still better go to a different place.―friki

Bus stop, enough place to stop. Very good to go towards Oslo. Got a ride for four (4) people within 5 mins.―friki

Not a bad place for cars to stop, they have space on the bus stop. But it took us quite a while. Trying signs, no signs, other direction... With no luck. Finally a great soul picked us up and drove us an hour out of his way.―friki

Good place for going to Oslo (North). Every car have to pass this way before going to the motorway. We just have to wait 15 minutes before picking up. (04/2010)―Anonymous

I got very lucky, the first guy I asked was going to Dombas, 200km south of Trondheim. Otherwise i think its quite hard to get a lift here past Oslo. North of the gas station is a perfect place to camp near a freshwater lake.―Anonymous
