The second car we asked agreed to take me and my girlfriend to Oslo. Very good spot, lot of traffic.

Great spot to head towards Oslo! There's not much space for drivers to pull over, but it's wide enough for them to pull to the side and stop. It's also beneficial that there is a roundabout and drivers go slower and can take their time to think about picking you up when they see you.

Way too fast from the highway, not very visible though a good place to stop. Had to buy a truck driver a drink to get a ride to someplace better

Still a great spot, got a ride with a guy transporting a boat to Telemark (?). Don’t mind my 50min wait time - I’m a scruffy looking guy so this place is as good as they come for me. I really recommend it for going Trondheim til Oslo.

Not a bad spot, plenty of cars, but most of them going short distance. Still, it's on the main road north towards Hamar and you can get there easily by public transport (stop Trosterudkrysset).

Should be pretty decent spot for Oslo, not that great for beyond. Not that many cars stopping at the gas station, but decent flow in the bus stop. Got a ride fast, someone who was going to the airport, so left us on a gas station in the ring road.

Gas station and rest area – a perfect spot for both northbound and southbound directions! Many cars heading to Oslo and Gothenburg, and one was even going all the way back to Serbia. Ask people at the gas station and in the charging area. I got a ride to Oslo.

Did not get a lift, too little traffic, mostly trucks and vans going short distances, instead take bus to Skedsmovollen Øst if you need to go north

Three girls, got a ride to Oslo, waited for only a couple of minutes, in the morning. Lots of empty cars of people who drop off their friends/family.

One male 40+, no sign, one big and one small backpacks, sunny and warm day. Going to Otta.
A very good spot. I wasn't standing at the exit of petro station, but by the road joining the highway (close to the bridge). There was enough shoulder for cars to stop. If you moved passed the bridge, maybe the cars from the main highway could stop for you. I didn't do it, coz were I was standing it was illegal enough.
Cars go slowly and you'd be visible nicely.
In 15 minutes 3 cars stopped for me. The first two were going very short distances without good spots, so I thanked them. And I jumped into the 3rd one which was going far enough.

Not too good spot. But I guess there are not many better ones in Oslo. You can't really catch cars on the highway. No place to stop and they go too fast. So you'd be left only with the cars leaving the petrol station. But the traffic isn't that small. I was wearing a t-shirt with a big Polish emblem. A Polish guy stopped to talk to me, saying that he doesn't go too far. I asked him to take me 15 kms up north, to another petrol station, which he did and the other place was much better.
I'm not sure how long I'd have to wait if I didn't have the Polish t-shirt.

Quite far from the city center, but a good spot. It's easy to stop and there's not too many cars.

I went into Kløfta (after standing at the on-ramp for a while) and a truck came by (from a industrial zone). Nice trip!

A could place, but not what I wanted (as I was going north). I waited a minute or so and then the first guy stopped and wanted to give me a ride (.. but to Stockholm). 5 minutes after the same happened. So - if you want to go to Sweden or even Stockholm, this is an excellent spot
