Good spot for going to the E16. It's legal and there's space to stop, and you know that everyone driving there will take the E16. You can ask any driver going West to drop you off there. I got a ride to Hønefoss there. Didn't use a sign.―Bigworldsmallsarah

I was here on a summer Sunday around 7 in the morning and there was maybe one car every 5 minutes. I had a sign with Hønefoss and later with E16, but in the end I was lucky to get a ride to Sandvika. I feel like there should be more traffic at other times of the day though? Might be worth trying. And the gas station there gave me cardboard and has a free toilet :).―Bigworldsmallsarah

A good spot with lots of cars going to both directions from the ramp. Waited for a while, but all in all a fine spot―Saarpe3

The second car we asked agreed to take me and my girlfriend to Oslo. Very good spot, lot of traffic.―Anonymous

Great spot to head towards Oslo! There's not much space for drivers to pull over, but it's wide enough for them to pull to the side and stop. It's also beneficial that there is a roundabout and drivers go slower and can take their time to think about picking you up when they see you.―Passports

One male 40+, with a sign "Oslo", one big and one small backpacks, sunny and warm day. Going to Oslo.A bus stop, good visibility and enough space even for a lorry to stop. Much closer there is a petrol station, but it's on a curve with almost no space to stop, so I think this place is better and worth the extra 20 minutes walk.
I was very luck this time. I waited only 10 minutes and I got a ride straight to the Oslo centre.

Maybe not the best spot, but drivers certainly have a lot of visibility and space to stop, even if they’re probably Norwegian and driving a bit too fast to notice - bring a big sign.―Bigdeidiot

Still a great spot, got a ride with a guy transporting a boat to Telemark (?). Don’t mind my 50min wait time - I’m a scruffy looking guy so this place is as good as they come for me. I really recommend it for going Trondheim til Oslo.―Bigdeidiot

A guy and a girl on a Wednesday afternoon without a sign. There's a bus stop for cars to stop, but cars go a little fast. We were taken to the gas station of Vik.―JumpingRabbit

A guy and a girl on a Wednesday at noon with a small arrow sign. It's hard to get to this spot, you have to get to the other side of the road, in the gas station by bus and foot before crossing to the other side.It looks like a bad spot from afar, but is in fact very nice, with lot of place to stop and cars going slowly before the roundabout.

A guy and a girl with a small sign on a Sunday at noon. This spot is quite good. Two people stopped in 20min, and the third one took us South of Oslo and offered us lunch !―JumpingRabbit

Not a bad spot, plenty of cars, but most of them going short distance. Still, it's on the main road north towards Hamar and you can get there easily by public transport (stop Trosterudkrysset).―lelian

Should be pretty decent spot for Oslo, not that great for beyond. Not that many cars stopping at the gas station, but decent flow in the bus stop. Got a ride fast, someone who was going to the airport, so left us on a gas station in the ring road.―friki

Gas station and restaurants, lots of people, easy to get rides anywhere South. Mosser and his three children Jacob, Maria and David, picked me up on a ride to Horten, and conversed about Norwegian social structures.―friki
