Good traffic, got a ride to the next big spot. You can enter this rest area (allegedly) by hiking up and climbing the fence—there is absolutely no hole, and there are cameras on the main access. Better head north, cross the field, and jump the fence there. It’s pretty challenging with a backpack; I wouldn't recommend it unless you're stuck on a small road nearby.

(Saturday) We met other hitchhikers there, one car stopped going to Katowice they took it. Another 20 later one more car stopped and we got also to Katowice.

Work great, only downside is that if you want to get here from the city than you have to climb over the fence, the best is to do this in forest as in other case (like mine) you will likely be reprimanded and if you are unlucky staff might call the police (I was lucky and they didn't, only said to don't do it again)

It wasn't good traffic in the morning, I saw literally only one delivery van on parking on polish plates. I asked him and he gave me a ride directly to Katowice, could be Kraków if I would want.

I don't know why, but for a very long time people didn't want to stop - we headed towards Rybnik -> Ostrava

Quite a good place to continue on the road outside Krakow - in the direction of Czech Republic/Slovakia

There is not a lot of cars willing to take 2 people, usually they had full cars. There is not much cars and the spot is in the sun. We stayed with two signs: Wien and Bratislava, which i recommend. Some trucks were comming to Budapest

Driver's don't really get that they can stop at the station behind you, but it's a big facility and a lot of fast moving cars. It might be worth just asking at the station.

Got quite lucky, but managed to get a hike to Kato in a few minutes. There's a place to stop for cars and you can easily get here by public transport.
