I wouldn't recommend it. We used it to get to Warsaw and were really lucky but I don't think that you have a good chance getting a ride. Most drivers are only driving a really short distance. Our driver was on his way home after work (distance about 1km) but he was so kind to take us all the way to a big gas station at the highway in Gozdowo! He only went there for us so we can get to Warsaw.―Anonymous

We tried to get to Bydgoszcz or alternatively another place on the way, but we didn't have any luck. We tried both, without and with a sign, in both cases not even a single car stopped. There was one lady who stopped while we had a break, but she only drove a very short distance, not even to Gnozno.―Anonymous

Easy to find a ride to Poland, there's a free toilet in the back of the parking lot also. Got catcalled by polish truck drivers but otherwise recommend the spot―Martynan

Most of the cars going to Bydgoszcz but you can find someone going east eventually. Nice spot to hang around in front of the gas station and talk to drivers, people are friendly. Got a ride to Warsaw with a person from Berlin going to Lithuania with their van.―Martynan

Direction northeast towards Gdansk, Bydgoszcz, Torun. It's a bus stop so there's a place to pull over. You can get here from Rondo Srodka by bus 73. Very popular spot.―Anonymous

If you fail to thumb a ride from a road, you can ask drivers on gas station.If you are heading to Gniezno, Toruń, Bydgoszcz direction, it's better to hike on Gnieźnieńska street, 2 km north from here.

We didn't even have to use the sign, because as we were having a break, a driver going to Hamburg offered us a ride :)―Ewelinalucy
