I believe most traffic is going to the Katowice area, but Krakow is not too hard either. As of august 2025 the hole is still there just before the woods that are close to the exit.

(Towards Poland) On a Friday morning in august, many cars going relatively slow, great visibility and space to stop. Most cars have German plates and are going to Berlin or Leipzig, but Poland is definitely possible.

This is a perfect spot towards Warsaw, and I wanted to avoid Warsaw, so I went to Lowicz. Guy stopped here almost immediately and got me a bag full of groceries.

Maybe I just got lucky, but this is a great spot towards Łódź and presumably Poznań. Cars go slowly, stop for the traffic lights, can clearly see you, and there is a good place to stop. But I would really advise having a sign, because people go in many directions.

Bus stop on merge lane in the direction of Katowice, Krakow. You can get here by bus no. 70 from railway station Lodz Fabryczna.

Bardzo dobre miejsce - tuż za skrzyżowanie, przed zwężeniem drogi, ale z szerokim poboczem-parkingiem i zataką dla autobusów. Very good place - behind the crossroad and before the place, where road starts being narrower, with wide shoulder-parkng space and bus stop lay-by.
