3 people we were searching for ride going past lodz into poznan/berlin direction for 2 hours and noone wanted to take. For some reason most of the people were either going towards gdansk or wroclaw and noone was going to poznan which felt super strange but then we took a ride to the next MOP with couple going towards wroclaw. This gas stations sounds like it should be way better than it was for us but tbh all the way to berlin we struggled to get rides on this highway.―kiausiniuvagis

i wasnt expected that but that spot was really good to go southgot took to katowice in 20 min
there are a lot of traffic, it’s a bus stop so full of space to stop and cars are not that fast
u can go there by bus from center, it’s 50 min and no one control ticket here ahahaha so perfect
fully recommend it if u want to go katowice (use a sign)

Nice petrol station, there is also a McDonalds, however the whole area is surrounded by a fence, so it‘s very difficult to get in or out. A lot of cars, all going north, some as far as Gdansk and Gdynia, so you have a good chance of cathcing a far ride. As on every petrol station, it‘s the best to ask people around. Shout out to @gdziewpolscenaweekend who took us all the way to Gdansk and took care of us.

From this place to the petrol station it‘s almost 8 km, so we decided to try to stop a car along the way. There is a lot of traffic, so it‘s not too hard to catch a ride this close.

BEWARE!! There is a petrol station, slip road and a lot of traffic. However "služba drogowa" banned us from standing on the slip road, there are no shoulders of the road and the roundabout doesn‘t make it easier. On the petrol station are mostly locals, so they won‘t take you anywere either. No cars stopped to us, after three hours of asking around, changing spots, signs - we were so desperate to get to the highway that we even tried another direction - with no success, we set off to the nearest petrol station on the highway, which is eight kilometres by walk. We recommend trying to hitchhike a car along the way, we managed to do it.

BEWARE!!! Terrible place. Looks ideal, wide shoulders of the road, a lot of traffic, however we got stuck here for hour and a half. We tried a lot of different signs, Lodz, A1 and others, however no car took us the 10 km to the A1 highway. The road actually leads to Lodz, but no cars took us there either. After a long time a young lady with a dog took us to Lodz.
I warn you all, don‘t try out this place

I believe most traffic is going to the Katowice area, but Krakow is not too hard either. As of august 2025 the hole is still there just before the woods that are close to the exit.―Arphile

(Towards Poland) On a Friday morning in august, many cars going relatively slow, great visibility and space to stop. Most cars have German plates and are going to Berlin or Leipzig, but Poland is definitely possible.―Arphile

Maybe I just got lucky, but this is a great spot towards Łódź and presumably Poznań. Cars go slowly, stop for the traffic lights, can clearly see you, and there is a good place to stop. But I would really advise having a sign, because people go in many directions.―martih

Me and my friend got a ride around the sunset straight to Hannover with a guy who was driving to Düsseldorf. So we drove the whole night until the sunrise, which was perfect. :)―anettlee17

Ton of cars and Trucks, most going relatively long distances. Still took a while to get a lift, a lot of very full cars returning from holiday and some people wo wanted to deliberatr while eatong something wether they will take me. Also a lot of trucks but didnt have much luck with them. I think this spot is mostly good towards warsaw.―1tramp

We (pair) were catching there more then a half heure. Highway sucurity were passing us, but a few minutes later police came. Police station is 100 m from this spot and there is monitoring on highway also. It is not allowed stay there bec is a highway already. Drivers are not willing to stop.―Anonymous

it's not a good spot! it's already highway and you can get a ticket from police, which is 200m from this spot. There is monitoring so cameras see you! Better hitchhike before round―Anonymous
