Idk what was our luck but we tried with a sign Ostrow or just thumb but we waited until somebody picked us up that was going further than just closest turn off to industrial districts. Got a ride to gas station with Mcdonalds. It was early in the morning so maybe people were just going there for work?

With a sign saying LT, I do tend to agree with other comments that having a sign for a closer destination would work better. Eventually some guy picked me up and drove me to a gas station

Busy spot but very easy for a car to stop. I got a short ride to a very inconvenient village - Troyan. I feel like I should have waited longer for someone going a longer distance. Ended up having to stitch my journey from multiple 5-10km rides from bad spots in small places.

Most traffic is local. I was advised to stand on the highway instead of the gas station. Eventually I was offered a ride by someone who wasn't even planning to go to Warsaw, just decided to help me since I was there for a long time.

Perfect spot to get out of Warsaw - waited only 3 minutes with Ostrów sign.

Seems like everyone's go to place for a good reason, second passing car picked us up.

Probably possible to get further but since there is so little traffic and cars go all the different directions after Warsaw, then when a fifth car stopped and offered a ride to Warsaw centre, we took it. From there we took a hour on the bus to the popular place in Warsaw to go to west and got onto the second car easily. Definitely better to go to Warsaw centre with a ride rather than stop here.

Probably the best spot to get out of Warsaw in the eastern direction

Cars stop before the lights and can see your sign, most of the traffic going to different parts of Warsaw, got a ride from a person who used to hitchhike, wanted to help and took me to the highway even though it was not on their way at all

Most of the traffic local (to different parts of Warsaw, many cars starting to speed up, no luck with getting further away, someone who didn't understand my sign took me to the cross section next to the highway

Many many cars and a good place to be seen right before they speed up, most of the traffic is local so I had bad luck with a sign "A2 Berlin" and equally bad with "A2 na zachód" (A2 to the west). Got a ride with a person who used to hitchhike and got me to a spot that was not on their way but in hopes of it being better

I had Byalistok/LT on sign maybe that was a mistake. But a guy stopped for me after 1 hour. Offered to take to Ostrow. But I said to to let me out at MOP with Mcdonalds. Maybe because to put on sign Ostrow because i met more drivers going to Ostrow in that gas station
