Quite bad spot. There is for sure a lot of space to stop but cars just go fast and its two lanes so a bit shit. But eventually with a sign we got a ride to Suwalki. But from I saw on the road not a lot of traffic goes past Augustow. Even thi there are million cars leaving Byalistok.―kiausiniuvagis

Probably the best gas station to get a ride between warsaw and ostrow from my experience. We were trying to go to Lithuania but we accepted a ride to Bialystok which was maybe not the best idea because it can become pretty hard to get out of there. So if you are going to Baltics just stick to the main highway. Eventually you will get someone who is going there.―kiausiniuvagis

To Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Russia. A lot of trucks in this direction - theris a place to stop for them. In the night is also good to hhike here because of a street lights. :)―Anonymous

get out at the station 'Porosly' and hitchhike right from the bus-stop
or take bus #4 from centrum (direction 'Klepacka'), get out at the station 'Makro' and walk 1km to the bus-stop 'Porosly' right after junction with E67
