We didnt have good luck and actually would disadvise that place as people running the station threatened to call the cops, and even though it is busy, not many trucks and mainy people going to Braga.―Jorgegalicia

They are probably only local people but I was sure they can drop me at least at the next gazstation on the A3... I abandonned after 5h without replies, smiles or apologies. They never answered me, and it's more rough than only wait. My worst experience so far.―Ohz

Very good spot to hitchhike north (to Braga, to Galizia [Vigo, Santiago]...). Take the train to São Frutuoso and walk 800m to the gas station in the A3. You'll have to look for the good place to climb over the fence. Make sure no one sees you!―Anonymous

Perfect spot, space to park, people can see you from far, they drive slowly, but... :( Good luck !―Anonymous

Really good place for hitch hiking north because a lot of people come to IKEA, I got a ride in a half hour who was going to Braga and from there I kept hitching all the way to France.―Anonymous

After a ride to MarShopping and a walk to get there, the three of us tried hitching a ride here but no luck. Not a lot of space to pull over. Maybe the fact that we were three also didn´t help so much.―Anonymous

After a short walk from another spot where the three of us had no luck, here we managed to get a ride; the driver was going to Povoa de Varzim. Not many cars, but just the righ number not to block the road in case another one comes.―Anonymous

A decent spot to hitch a ride towards Vila Real/Mirandela. A short walk from the train station; when we arrived there, a friendly man from the café nearby told us how to get to the station - just before the main gate there's a path to the left between the bushes. Take it and you'll get to a brick wall after around 5m. Climb it (easy with the help of the fence) and you're there! The 3rd driver we asked too us directly to MIrandela.―Anonymous

Parking by the river with camper vans and visitors. Very nice place to hitch a ride to Ponte da Lima/Viana or straight to Brag/ Porto―Anonymous

Good place to ask truck drivers not so much the locals. Got a ride to porto after 45 minutes.―Sebby

Couldn't even get into the station. Unlike the previous comment, a person at the cafe essentially told us we can't enter and to go away. Waste of time unfortunately―That_sid_guy
