Not the busiest in terms of cars but bunch of trucks. Waited for just over 3 hours at this station. Asked around, stood at the exit, tried the highway too. Eventually a truck stopped at the exit and agreed to take me to Porto.

Gas station in direction North or North-East. Got a truck to Spain there in 20 minutes.

We waited 0 seconds for a ride, walked into the station and asked the first car we came too, probably luck, but the location makes a lot of sense and easy to get to

good place to go north to the coast.
just take a bus to the big shopping center "norteshopping", continue walking from there in direction to the airport and 500m after you've left the shopping-area behind you, you'll find a small stair on the left side which leads you directly to the gas-station.

waited there for 30 minutes. good spot!

We didnt have good luck and actually would disadvise that place as people running the station threatened to call the cops, and even though it is busy, not many trucks and mainy people going to Braga.

They are probably only local people but I was sure they can drop me at least at the next gazstation on the A3... I abandonned after 5h without replies, smiles or apologies. They never answered me, and it's more rough than only wait. My worst experience so far.

Waited here about one and a half hours until it got dark - not a very good spot, people can't see you from afar, don't pay attention - better walk back and talk to people at the gas station (although not a lot of cars there)

Very good spot to hitchhike north (to Braga, to Galizia [Vigo, Santiago]...). Take the train to São Frutuoso and walk 800m to the gas station in the A3. You'll have to look for the good place to climb over the fence. Make sure no one sees you!

Perfect spot, space to park, people can see you from far, they drive slowly, but... :( Good luck !

Really good place for hitch hiking north because a lot of people come to IKEA, I got a ride in a half hour who was going to Braga and from there I kept hitching all the way to France.
