I took the tram from the city centre and walked 100m to the roundabout. Enough space to stop and cars go slow. It took less than 5 minutes (with sign Ruse and Türkiye) to catch a ride. A very nice and old man took me to right to the border. He drove like crazy and did not want any money.―GermanyToIndia

First person I approved took my all the way to Bukarest. I had to pay 25€ at the end (my fault for not asking) but yk I still got super far. Station was busy.―GermanyToIndia

I suggest waiting at the bus stop after the roundabout as cars are slower. Took me a bit because the first car wanted money but I got a ride out of Bucharest towards Giurgiu―Arphile

Got dropped there by my last driver which wasn’t ideal but the shoulder was big enough for cars to stop. Got a ride in a Moldova registered Porsche all the way to Bucharest, probably gained a whole hour by the outrageous speeds he was going on the national road.―Arphile

Christian dropped us here to this very good spot, a lot of room to stop and important traffic :) picked up after 40 mn by Akan directly to Bucarest 💪―cavalierrustique

Waited 1h30 for a lift to Timisaora or Bucarest. Lot of Romanian Cars but traffic is not important. Thanks Richars―cavalierrustique

At this gas station, there is a chance of finding a car traveling west on the ring road.―Okubobrakurbober

It's a terrible spot to find a car going west, as I did. I was waiting with a sign west in my hands. I hoped that someone would pick me up before going to the new exit on the A0 motorway. But as I understood, people are not yet used to this exit and prefer the old Bucharest ring road. So I had to change my sign to Bucharest and drive a couple of kilometers to the old ring road.―Okubobrakurbober

No one wanted to give me a ride at the truck stop, so I got frustrated and was going to walk across the border to Romania. But as I was walking past a gas station, I saw a car and asked if he can take me across the border. It turned out that he was going to Bucharest.―Okubobrakurbober

Driver before helped me ask for a ride across the ferry to Bucharest when my plan changed from Constanta to there. Might not be as good if you don’t have help asking for a ride.―Xavybaby

This is likely a good spot, during the working week, when the trucks are on the road, but during the weekend, it is mid. The traffic was relatively infrequent, and people told me they weren't going to Constanta; I'm not sure if I should believe them. I unpacked my lunch here and ate it in the shade, so it did not bother me that much. After that, a car picked me up, got me to Vama Veche, and helped me find a summer job, so that was nice.―martih

I got lucky here and convinced a guy to bring me near an exit for Constanta. I didn't spend much time here, but I think the traffic was decent.―martih

This was a really bad place, and I would advise you to avoid it, if possible. After more than an hour and a half, I walked to a gas station, showed as a destination, and there I found a guy willing to take me to the exit towards Constanta. If you are stranded around here, I would advise walking rather than just waiting here. The traffic was low, and the heat was unbearable.―martih

This was my solution to my screw up, and it kinda worked, but it was not great. Although the spot is great, especially if you need to reach Bucharest, getting to the east of the capital was no fun, but this place was not a bad start.―martih

If you want to go south, this is likely not a bad spot. If you need to go east, you are screwed, just as I was. My solution was to go a bit south, cross the road, and try to head back north. I worked, but I didn't have any fun doing it.―martih

I just switched cars here. Quite a lot of tourists are going to the black sea. This is not a large gas station, but you can find a car easily. Just be aware to check if they are going in your direction, or you might end up like me. Getting around Bucharest isn't easy if you want to reach the coast.―martih

Ok, this is likely a great spot, but I just didn´t have a lot of luck. It was night and asking around, the majority go just locally, don´t speak English, or are going on vacation with full cars. But after 4 hours asking around, I found some Slovaks who took me to Bucharest.―martih
