Space for stopping is nice and you have good visibility but still getting a ride was quite hard here. Almost no one was stopping and most people weren't going far away but eventually I got a ride to the border but that's only because my driver drove me there even though he wasn't going all the way to border. Traffic to it is extremely low and I think that because of that going through this border isn't the best way to Croatia from Vukovar―Autostopeks

Similar experience, not too busy, mostly trucks, there is water and a abandoned hotel good for sleeping also a supermarket near. A Serbian truck driver took me to the border at Shid (apparently they try to avoid the border at the highway due to traffic)―Anonymous

Got to the border at around 7pm with a truck driver and had to get out due to a 2 km queue of trucks who couldn't pass. Almost eaten alive by swarms of giant mosquitoes. Take care! Got a ride to Belgrade on the Serbia side after about 20 mins.―Timdworth

I got to the border at night, and decided to sleep there (not very comfortable). Then the next morning (a Tuesday) woke up about 5 and asked truck drivers for a lift to Belgrade. The very first one asked drove me all the way to Sofia - brilliant spot!―Spiritsxxi

Starting point on the Croatia-Serbia border if heading into Serbia from Croatia. Many many trucks stop here, there are shops that service them and other drivers. A very good spot to get a lift especially with trucks.―Anonymous
