Excellent spot where the cars can see you from far and have the place to stop even tho they are coming fast. We had a sign "Vienna" with a French flag. The driver drove us next to the St Etienne Cathedral.2 guys hitchiking

Wanted to go to Zilina but the 3rd person I asked was going around Trencin so they dropped me off at OMV gas station at D1 in Trencin. From there I got ride to Zilina in less then 5 minutes―borizko

Lot of traffic in direction Wien/Bratislava. Also lot of trucks. I asked around and was successful at the end. I wouldn't stand by the exit to highway, there's not a lot of space for cars to stop.―viki1999
