It seems like the only spot in Liptovský Mikuláš where you can comfortably hitch a ride to the highway. Most of the traffic is local, but you can flag down out-of-town cars leaving McDonald's or the nearby gas station. I wrote a sign for Žilina, which turned out to be a mistake. Tip: Use a sign for Ružomberok—it's a major hub with roads branching west and south across the country.―filiponatrip
