First Car stopped and brought be to Poland. Probably could have waited a bit longer to find a better ride all the way to Krakow

Lots of traffic, and little space for cars to stop safely, but we got a ride in 20 min when we were about to leave to the train station (group of 4)

Gas station is small and traffic is local but the little merge lane is a perfect spot for a car to pull over (as my ride eventually did), especially since speeds are low exiting the town. More difficult for a truck, but there’s also a little spot just beyond that would work if the driver were keen. Gas station has washrooms, no pay turnstile, didn’t request a purchase (worker spoke English)

In theory, it was a great place – a hostel, a gas station, and a place to buy vignettes for TIRs (entry and exit from the same side), but we came across a little traffic. It was getting late, so after almost an hour, we decided we'd be done in 10 minutes and were going to sleep here at the hostel. We were about to head back when a couple from Poland on their way to Montenegro stopped by. We got to Zvolen SK with them.

A good spot with a beautiful view. Mostly locals, but we quickly got a ride right up to the Slovak border.

Drivers in direction Slovakia often have to stop to buy the "sticker" for Slovakian highways. I got a lift further in Slovakia quite easily.

I think I just had bad luck on that day but I was rottening here for nearly 4 damned hours... Lots of Krakow cars and some local slovakian cars, but did not want to stop. And there was an extreme thunderbolt and haild for 1 hours, crazy. After that I caught a Hungarian car (I am Hungarian as well) with a flag... That was the moment of saving my life! :D

Not only to Cracow, but to Ruzemberok, Banska Bystrica or even Bratislava. There are always some trucks, and if you ask drivers, they will give you a lift easily.

Poland direction. Very long entrance to the Shell gas station. Plenty of space to stop. The spot is right after the corner, but the speed is fairly low. With PL sign I got a truck to Czestochowa in 10 minutes.

Fairly very good spot for hitchhike, however that time I was not so lucky, 45 min and no success. Petrol station at the end of town, way to the south, plenty space for stopping. I would give an advice to take a bus to next town and try to catch some lift there. All drivers from Poland driving through Tvrdošín.

Try not to end up here in the first place, there is really low traffic. But I got a lift to the Trstena E77 after 15 minutes with a really nice driver :) I just stood next to the road, there is space to stop here and because it's down a small hill the cars can easily see you
