Lots of traffic due to a 2cv citroen car festival. It meant a lot of the traffic was local but there were also cars going further. I was picked up by a smart car. My first time in a smart car - they're bigger than you think!Driver took me past where he was going and dropped me at the border crossing for Croatia.

Two cars stopped. The first one very nice but going the wrong way. The second one was a lovely family used to hitchhiking and hosting people on couch surfing. They invited me to stay and join them at a 2cv car festival that was visiting town. Unfortunately, I had to decline because they lived so close to where I was leaving but generally a good spot.Traffic is coming from multiple directions towards the highway and there's lots of space for them to stop at the bus stop.

a difficult place to stand at. a driver comming from LJUBLJANA took me only until here on a trip to TRIESTE (italy). i had to wait one or two hours until i could catch another car in the right direction. although it is difficult to find a driver, the spot right on the automated peage (road toll/ maut-) station is very safe. i want to rate this place a "4 to 5" on my personal scale (1 = poor, 10 = excellent).―Anonymous
