Dead spot on the way to Ljubljana. I waited for over 90 minutes. Next time, I would take a bus to Maribor Titova-Nasypna (4€). Don't waste your time like I did

The spot is not bad, there are definitely cars heading to Celje or Ljubljana, but not much traffic to Zagreb. The traffic is too fast to stop, but the cars often stop at the red light. We (a guy and a girl) stood with two signs Zagreb and Ptuj. We got taken to Ptuj and the driver said that he was going elsewhere, but he changed his way to take us to Ptuj.

Not much traffic (I'd say about 15 cars per hour), cars had mostly local plates or were full for the holidays. We were trying to get a ride to Zagreb, but after an hour of trying we accepted an offer from a trucker going to Varaždin.

Got stuck here a whole sunday plus a good hour on monday morning before I get a ride to Zagreb airport. Little traffic, mostly local, all cars with croatians plates were either packed or not caring at all.
If you come from Maribor, better to stick to the traffic light in Hoče.

A lot of trucks there. I slept there in a tent and in the morning a truck driver took me to Zagreb.

Got stuck for like 7 hours, very uncommon for us... It was Monday, all the cars going only to Ptuj (not very helpful) and the rest were families with fully loaded cars going for holiday...

We had to wait long maybe because it was evening. Then we got lucky and got a lift beyond Belgrade.

got here Sat. night at 21:00 and tried for an hour, but since it was night (after getting a lot of cake from a car full of grannies) we went to the adjacent field (no need to climb, the gate is open) near that stream and pitched the tent there. In the morning it only took 15min to find sb. to LJ. I asked a guy there that turned out to be a cop :) he was confused came back and asked for my ID, funny situation.

About here there is a petrol station, not shown properly on the map. Summer 2012 it was just South of road works which conveniently slowed traffic down. Standing between the station entry ramp and the road (not a motorway at this point) you could get a lift South quite easily. Without the road works it should still be a decent place for going South. I got a lift here from Maribor from a friend.

Got dropped off here as my car was heading to Ljubljana and I was headed for Zagreb. Cars seperate a decent distance before turning off, but they're still going fast. No real shoulder, but there's 2 lanes and they can go onto the gravel. Took 1.5 hours till a car stopped. Got some rather crude reactions from some cars.
