Dead spot on the way to Ljubljana. I waited for over 90 minutes. Next time, I would take a bus to Maribor Titova-Nasypna (4€). Don't waste your time like I did

The spot is not bad, there are definitely cars heading to Celje or Ljubljana, but not much traffic to Zagreb. The traffic is too fast to stop, but the cars often stop at the red light. We (a guy and a girl) stood with two signs Zagreb and Ptuj. We got taken to Ptuj and the driver said that he was going elsewhere, but he changed his way to take us to Ptuj.

Truck stoped me after while (something around 1 hour). He was going to Cejle but he had stop at Slovenska Bistrica, and i tought it would be better then Cejle.

tried to hitchhike to Zagreb from here. It's a good place for cars to stop and there is plenty of traffic, but hardly any Croatian cars at all. Took 4 hours to get a ride.

Fairly good spot for a ride towards Ljubljana - I waited 1 hour, but I have a feeling there are also good spots closer to the centre.

If you are heading to Hungary but your driver goes to Maribor, then this is the best place to get off the car.

Waited for about an hour to get to Graz on a Thursday noon. Not that many cars went that direction but it was ok.

VERY GOOD ; late july, after 3 days in the rain, the weather was getting better, and a local beauty stopped after 5 minutes, took me to Ljubljana, straight to the hostel door ! Nice welcome !

It is great spot but still we were waiting here for 4 hours! We wanted to go to Graz or Vienna. There were a lot of Austrian, Czech and Slovak cars but many of them were full. And these of them which had free seats totally ignored us (especially Austrian). After 4 hours we caught young woman from Ljubljana, who took us to Vienna. Maybe it is better to ask the drivers instead of waiting.

Petrol station "Tepanje" is very good for catching rides to the north of Slovenia. Also lots of trucks here for international travelers.

This place was recommended to me also independently by two guys from Maribor. There is Lidl on the way from center so you can ressuply yourself before going for hitchhiking. I liked the spot.

Two cars stopped at one moment! :D
Excellent spot on the bus stop recommended by local local driver. A lot of traffic, good exposition to drivers because of the traffi lights. There is OBI store where You can get extra boards.
