It took me 70 minutes to get a ride to La Manga, but two cars had stopped before offering me to drive me to a nearer village.―Anonymous

(I was going to La Manga) A policeman stopped and told me 1) It is forbidden to do hitchhiking; 2) There's a police station very near, so there are lots of policemen driving by (true); 3) He suggested me to go a little bit further, in order to avoid being seen by them ;)―Anonymous

Bad spot. Although there is a lot of trafic everyone stayed in Cartagena. Several people came up to us to tell that hitchhiking is not common in Spain and advised to take the bus. After 3 hours we gave in and this nice lady brought us to the train station. I think it's possible to find a ride to Murcia but we were too hungover to be persistent.―Artflix
