We thumbed at the petrol station and the Lidl exit, but seemed like everyone was local traffic. We decided to try the exit of the nearby IKEA instead, with a sign for Librilla, and most was still local traffic - but quite soon a local helped us out.

Mostly local traffic - we had a sign to Librilla. At some point a local helped us out.

It was a bit confusing, since I wasn't sure which carparks were for longer stays, drop-offs, rentals, etc. Most seemed to be rentals. But I walked around with my partner and after about 20 minutes, the third car we showed out thumbs to gave us a ride to a service station in Murcia.

Take bus 44D from Murcia (instructions on Wiki). Going to the west should be fine, heading east better get on Santomera service station.

In Spanish standards this is a really good spot if you're planning to go to Almeria or Granada.

Take bus number 44D towards Alcantarilla to get here (bus stop 'Hotel la Paz') and walk the rest of the way. Right after the bridge over the A-7 you have the petrol station and camping site.

Yes there are "perfect" spots in the city of Murcia but, hey, you're in Southern Spain. Better take the bus.

Terrible! Waited over 4 hours before deciding to go back to Murcia and try somewhere else.

i actually got two rides to granada in 15 minutes :) many people go down there, just ask truckers and people who stop to eat/refuel. good spot and easily accessible. there's more 44d buses than just a few per day :) but beware because they don't operate on weekends
