the station in good, a decent amount of cars
quite a lot of locals...i was going in direction of caceres and on thursday afternoon (from 3PM ) it took me 3h to find a loft to xanadu, a big shopping centre near by (the guy told me was better from there, and after 3h i just took it)
there, in my opinion, was worse, cus being on the other side of the A5, everyone was going towards madrid
i also tried at the roundabout but with no luck
so i went back here, slept on a tent behind the station (its pretty chill), and next morning, after 1h (10-11AM), i found a lift to the station at the 88km, with a restaurant that seems better
lets see

Take the train in Madrid to the farest station (Moratejo I think). Then we take several rides from one service station to the next one along the highway (A-5) until we found a couple of hippies in a van that are going to Portugal

It's located around 18 km from the Alto de Extremadura gas station, so you just need a short ride. After a lot of asking around we found a driver who took us all the way to the border in Badajoz!

Gas station with restaurant where a lot of trucks to Portugal stop.
I've got here hitch-hiking, so I can't tell you how to get here with public transport!

Very good place for hitchhiking! Waited ~5min (better to ask people for a ride) a guy from Spain took me to Portugal 500+km. I recommend but you need to see for yourself cuz it's Spain...

Not that many cars, but they have to go slow and a lot of space to stop. Probably best spot in town. Got a lift to Madrid.
