Arrived here at around 18:00 and by then the traffic is slowed down to maybe 5-6 cars an hour. Try to get here early or on weekends―Kapten kastrull

Cepsa, mainly Spanish cars going short distances. Our ride took us to Ayamonte, a ferry ride from the Portuguese border.―Ewelinalucy

A place to catch a ride into A-49 autovia to Sevilla.
There's a gas station, and further along the road some space for cars to pull off. A few traffic lights slow down the cars.
It's not by any means a great spot, but... possible.
I waited with a sign a little longer than an hour (it was a bad time of the day, too... siesta time), and finally got a ride.
Once you get into the highway, there'll be an "area de servicio" (the first one soon, after maybe 15km), where you can find cars to other destinations, like Madrid, or Jerez, etc.

There is an old abandoned restaurant here, which allows cars to stop easily. And as it's directly on the way to Portugal for many cars from Huelva, it's a great place for them to pick you up.I waited here for 10 minutes and got a ride to a rest station right on front of the border.

Cars are very slow since they just got out of the parking garage or waited to pick someone up from the airport. The spot is covered by a roof, so there's shadow. There's enough space for cars to take you in as well. You can get there by bus from the city.―Anonymous

Really hard, welcome to Spain !No it’s a good spot I think but nobody want to see you and consider you.
It’s 3 ways, before the gas station, the car can stop in pétrole station. 🌸

Only 4 Portugese cars passed in 1 hour time. I was told it was the best road to Portugal. In the end I went with someone to Corrales (next village) he told me it's difficult to get out of Huelva
