It is not the greatest spot, but the previous guy took us to a gas station in Torreblanca and that was even worse spot. There wasn't much traffic and not an ideal place to stop, lot of trucks. Most of people were going to Barcelona, we had sign with Castello. After some time a kind lady stopped us and took us to train station in Castello. Boy and girl, afternoon, weekday.

Realy nice spot for hitchiking to Valencia. Lot of foreigners, we got ride after twenty minutes, stood there with a sign Valencia, boy and girl, it was evening, probably weekday

Absolutely terrible spot, we were lucky. Lots of traffic, but cars are going really fast and there is no real place to stop. We had a sign to Valencia, and some guy took us after 30 minutes to a gas station in that direction. Boy and girl, probably weekday and early evening

If you are anywhere within the Valencia Cercanias area, including Gandia or even Castelleon (even going north!), please take the train to Les Valls and use this spot. From the station, walk a few hundred metres over the bridge and down the dirt road, pick an orange, before climbing over the fence. Hold out a sign for France, Barcelona, or for south, Murcia, Alicante, wherever... This place works day and night, and guarantees you a much faster ride on the AP-7 instead of waiting hours elsewhere for a ride on the N-340!

The worst place ever. At first when I wanted to start catching at paeje, a worker came to me and said that i couldn't hitchhike there and sugested me to go to lawn next to toll building. But after half an hour of catching another worker came and said that he was calling the police. So I'd to change my plans for that day. Sagunto is much better option.

Looks like a good spot... But cops here are dumbasses, and forced us to leave, whereas we were in our rights :)

Place for a car to stop, decent traffic. We got a ride in about 20 min.

Headed north towards Tarragona. Decent amount of traffic, about 30-40% headed in the right direction. Plenty of room to pull over and drivers had good time to see us. We had instruments and a sign. Gave up after 8 hours. Perfectly good spot, but Spaniards just don't pick up hitchhikers.

Timing very important ! No cars go up to fuentes Sunday afternoon and none come down sunday morning. Best go up sunday morning if hunting season or in the mornings and come down in the afternoon especially sunday afternoon. So few people up there most cars stop though when they see you

Great spot, if not a bit dodgy to get to. Just approach trucks stopped there and ask their direction.

I was excited to try this place, but I was not able to find it. I asked locals, who said that the trucks used to stop there, but not anymore. So seems this place does not exist anymore (September 2025).

Lots of space for cars to stop, and slow enough for them to read your sign but no one was stopping.
